Transfer to Halong bay, enjoying the scenic view by seaplane, cruising through amazing karst mountains
8:00 AM: Pick up at your hotel (in the Hanoi Old Quarter). Enjoy 3-hour drive from Hanoi to Halong Bay. Your journey will pass the series of villages and rice fields in Red River Delta. Have a stop for drink and restroom. Continue your driving, arrive at the harbor around noon, get warmly welcomed at reception.
Get on the seaplanes. A scenic flight is really the only way to truly appreciate Halong Bay’s magnificent seascape of nearly 2,000 jungle-clad limestone pillars reaching up from the green waters, all spread over an area of 2,000 square kilometers.
With a water takeoff and landing from Tuan Chau Island Marina, our 25-minute sightseeing flight takes in the highlights of UNESCO-listed Halong Bay, providing a completely different perspective than from a cruise ship. From the air, the islands appear as mountain ranges, resembling the undulating body of a dragon, the meaning of “Halong” in Vietnamese.
Our latest series Cessna Grand Caravan 208B-EX Amphibians are outfitted for a maximum of 12 passengers, ensuring that everyone can enjoy superb views.
After 25 minute flight, land on the bay and transfer to the day cruise.
12:00: Check in on board.
12:15: Enjoy local sea food Lunch, pass by numerous beautiful islets : Fighting Cock (Hòn Gà Chọi), Insence (Hòn Lư Hương), Dog (Hòn Chó Đá), Duck (Hòn Con Vịt)…
14:00: Explore Surprising (Sửng Sốt) Cave - The most famous grotto of Halong Bay.
15:00: Visit Titov Island - Climb up to the top of the island, get the whole views of the Bay or swimming at the lovely Titov’ Beach.
16:00: Continue cruising through Halong Bay.
18:00: Arriving at pier. Farewell.
Welcome by driver at the harbor then enjoy travel back to Hanoi. Have a rest at the middle of the way. Drop off at your hotel (in the Hanoi Old Quarter).
