Anan Saigon is Ho Chi Minh City's only representative in the list of the top 4 Michelin-starred restaurants in Vietnam.
"A contemporary Vietnamese restaurant where chef Peter Cuong Franklin applies modern cooking techniques to street food recipes to create mouthwatering flavours," the Michelin Guide writes of this restaurant.
"Whether you order fresh tuna tartare, roast duck rice paper, shrimp meat tacos or wagyu beef marrow noodle soup, each dish is elegant with balanced flavours and textures."
After working in Hong Kong, Chicago and Bangkok, chef and restaurateur Peter Cuong Franklin returned to Vietnam to open this restaurant.
"We incorporate many international elements but always respect Vietnam's deep history and traditions. Our signature dishes such as Da Lat pizza, taco pancakes and foie gras spring rolls are creative and unexpected but at the same time familiar and full of Vietnamese flavour." shared chef Peter Cuong Franklin.
At the end of March, Anan Saigon also became Vietnam's sole representative in Asia's 50 Best Restaurants list at the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2023 awards ceremony in Singapore.

This is a contemporary Vietnamese restaurant led by Michelin-starred chef Sam Tran, whose seasonal menu is inspired by Vietnamese culinary heritage.
The beautifully prepared dishes here demonstrate a meticulous combination of delicate flavours and charming texture, which are the key factors determining a dish's deliciousness.
The restaurant, located on Van Mieu street, takes its name “Gia” from the word “Gia dinh" (meaning family), a reference to the nostalgia of chef Sam Tran and his partner Long Tran during their years working abroad. According to the Michelin guide, the restaurant's decoration is also inspired by the Temple of Literature just across the street.
"Our journey from today will certainly be different. However, two things have certainly remained the same. Firstly, our name Gia comes from the word 'Gia dinh'. That was and always will be the way we build all values at Gia. Secondly, Vietnamese cuisine has always been the basis for us to discover and develop, a tool to tell stories about Vietnamese culture and life." said Sam Tran, the chef and co-founder of Gia.
