The famous travel website Lonely Planet has just selected the 10 most beautiful natural attractions in Vietnam from north to south to bring visitors the most interesting natural experiences.

1. Ba Be National Park

In addition to Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, the Lonely Planet editorial team specially selected Son Doong Cave as one natural wonder in Vietnam because it is the largest cave not only in Southeast Asia but also in the world.

Son Doong is more than 5 km long, 200 m high and 150 m wide. The cave is located in the limestone mountains of the Vietnam-Laos border region. It was discovered accidentally in 1991 by Mr. Ho Khanh, a local resident, while he was in the forest searching for agarwood.

Today, visitors must book tours in advance as well as meet some physical conditions, and know how to swim... to explore Son Doong Cave in a 4-day journey.

7. Thuy Son Mountain

Thuy Son is the largest and most famous mountain in the Marble Mountains, Da Nang.  Together with the surrounding caves, they form the spiritual center of ancient Buddhism and Hinduism in Vietnam.

Visitors may climb Thuy Son Mountain in 2 paths, of which the route closer to the sea has more beautiful scenery. To the top of the mountain is Tang Chon Cave, and right behind it is Linh Ung Pagoda. This is certainly one of Vietnam's famous natural landmarks that visitors won't want to miss.

8. Mui Ne Beach
