Peaceful rural life in Phung Cong flower village & Nom ancient villages, unique experiences with Bat Trang pottery

8:00 AM: Travel to Phung Cong village which specializes in floriculture and is famous to Hanoian people and others who love trees. Visit a garden to discover one of the natural leisure in Vietnam. Continue to Nom village, an ancient village in the Red river Delta. It still preserves traditional features with entrance gates, houses, a communal house, and pagodas. Keep going to visit the famous Nom Pagoda in the village. It is a gigantic pagoda with incomparable architecture. As the pagoda is the spiritual center of the village, it attracts a lot of pilgrims from the nearby regions during the spring festivals.

Follow itinerary to Bat Trang Village, located on the bank of the Red River 20km from the Hanoi center. Bat Trang is one of the most famous traditional craft villages in the country, specializing in porcelain crafts. Built over 700 years ago, Bat Trangs’ name has a Chinese origin meaning “a large field where the bowls are made”. Bat means bowl and Trang means a specialized area.

On arrival, we will visit the communal house dedicated to the man who created the porcelain craft village. Make a special visit to a family factory. Your tour guide will explain the processes of making ceramic products and you might have a chance to work with the craftsmen.
