Hanoi - Tuan Chau - Lan Ha Bay - Lan Ha Bay 140km - 2.5h
Transfer to Tuan Chau, cruise to Lan Ha bay, explore the unspoiled beauty of Tra Bau, kayaking, enjoy a cooking demonstration, and try your hand at squid fishing.
Pick up at your hotel (in the Hanoi Old Quarter). Enjoy 3-hour drive from Hanoi to Halong Bay. Your journey will pass the series of villages and rice fields in Red River Delta. Have a stop for drink and restroom. Continue your driving, arrive at the harbor around noon, get warmly welcomed at reception.
12:30: Embark Mon Chéri Cruises. You will be served a welcome drink and provided with a cold towel. This will be followed by a cruise briefing where you will also be given safety instructions before checking in to your cabin. We will set sail and you will have lunch in Mon Cheri's luxury restaurant while enjoying the beauty of the canals on our way to Halong Bay.
15:30: We arrive at Light and Dark Cave, where you can do kayaking or bamboo boat rowed by local people. Then return to Mon Chéri Cruises, followed by swimming near the ship.
17:30: Return to Mon Chéri Cruises, where you can admire the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin and enjoy a complimentary sunset party.
18:30: Then take part in cooking demonstration to learn about our Vietnamese cuisine. You can also enjoy the massage service which is available onboard. (Please book directly with the Cruise Manager on the boat)
19:15: A great dining experience awaits you.
20:45: After finishing dinner, you can enjoy the landscape of the bay at night up on the top deck, relax with romantic ballad music, enjoy drinks from the bar try your luck at squid fishing, watch a movie or relax in your room.

Explore Trung Trang Cave, disembark at Tuan Chau, and journey back to Hanoi.
06:15: Wake up early to start your perfect day with Tai Chi class or watch the sunrise on the top deck. Enjoying a cup of coffee and tea is ideal choice.
07:00: Buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant.
08:40: Visit Cat Ba Island. You are taken by bus to visit the most beautiful stalagmite and stalactite cave, located in Cat Ba National Park.
10:30: Return the boat and check out the cabin. Then have brunch in restaurant while the boat sails back to pier. We settle the bill at the end of trip.
11:30: Disembark the boat and return to port.
Welcome by driver at the harbor then enjoy travel back to Hanoi. Have a rest at the middle of the way. Drop off at your hotel (in the Hanoi Old Quarter).

Safe, scenic, and superbly organised
Travelling with elderly parents can be tricky, but Mon Cheri made it effortless. Ducky ensured my father, who has dietary restrictions, was always catered for with delicious alternatives. The cruise felt extremely safe and well-organised, with clear briefings and high-quality safety equipment. The views of the limestone cliffs and emerald waters were stunning, and the excursions were both accessible and fun. Can’t thank the team enough.

Best cruise we’ve been on
From the moment we stepped onboard Mon Cheri, the hospitality was second to none. The crew went out of their way to decorate the room and even arranged a surprise cake during dinner. Duc Darwin was outstanding in looking after us. He always professional and cheerful. The views of Ha Long Bay were absolutely breathtaking, and every meal felt like fine dining. We’ll never forget this trip.

Perfect escape with exceptional service
We had an amazing time on the Mon Cheri Cruise! The room was spotless with a jacuzzi and a view that left us speechless. The staff were absolutely brilliant, special thanks to Cherry and Andy for their warmth and humour throughout the journey. Everything was well-planned, from kayaking to the cave visit, and the food was top quality. My kids especially loved the mini golf! Highly recommended for families looking to relax and reconnect.

Hanoi to Halong Bay trip
Loved the itinerary! Kayaking, hiking, biking... we were never bored. Saw parts of the bay other cruises don't go to. Guides were knowledgeable.
